We are delighted to announce that the WALS Council agreed at their meeting in December 2020 that the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) will hold the 2022 WALS Conference in Malaysia.
Based on a strong foundation of 30 years into research, UKM was awarded
the status of a Malaysian Research University in October 2006 by the Ministry of
Higher Education of Malaysia, a move designed to propel the four public universities
into leading research universities in line with the Higher Education Strategic Plan
2007-2020. It is ranked in the 100 best new universities established within the last 50
years in the world.
Lesson study was adopted by the Ministry of Education in 2011 and the organisers are very excited about bringing the international conference to Malaysia

The conference is likely to be organised as a blended face to face and online event and further information will be available at the end of 2021.
